    Michelle from CA Asked

We are going to the parks and Sunday, Sept. 29th Can we bring in outside food? Snacks for the kids?

Happy Halloween Time, Michelle, and a spook-tacular welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It looks like you may have already enjoyed your Disneyland Resort adventures a few days ago, and I hope it was everything you imagined and more! As you may have already learned, yes, you are more than welcome to bring in food, including snacks for your little Mouseketeers. Just keep in mind that glass containers (excluding the small containers used for baby food jars) aren’t allowed inside the parks, per the Disneyland Resort Rules. You may bring food or drinks (excluding alcohol) into the parks in a backpack or cooler, but all bags must be no larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. I recommend packing a re-usable ice pack, since loose ice isn’t allowed in these containers. You will be asked to open all bags or coolers while passing through the Security Checkpoint on your way into the parks, so it’s a good idea to have easy access to them.

I usually pack some granola bars, food pouches, fruit snacks, and crackers for my 3, 5, and 7-year-old Mouseketeers. I also pack each of them a small Thermos water bottle filled with water, and we fill it up at water refill stations throughout our Disney days. You can also ask for a complimentary cup of ice water at any quick-service restaurant location, if you prefer to travel lighter.

Did you know there’s a special spot just for enjoying a picnic with your family? The shaded Picnic Area is located just outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. There are also Locker Rentals adjacent to the Picnic Area, making for easy access before and after your meal break. That way, you can avoid carrying a cooler bag around the parks.

I hope this helps you plan your next magical adventure at the Happiest Place on Earth! Wishing you a pixie-dusted day!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
