What parks do you suggest for 2 women in their 50's not for rides but for entertainment and sites. i.e. parades, exhibitions etc; July 4th weekend?

    Hi Gweldela,

You can definitely expect to feel the patriotic vibe throughout Walt Disney World on Independence Day, and the customized celebratory fireworks displays at Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot will be second to none.

Even though I'm inclined to tell you to visit ALL the Parks, if I had to choose, I'd suggest Epcot for the diverse opportunities of dining, shopping and exploring, especially for the Holiday. Although you won't find a parade as you will at the other theme parks, the Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps, Voices of Liberty, and many other performances will enhance your 4th of July experience and likely provide you the entertainment you're seeking out of your trip.

Within World Showcase you'll find other areas of Americana interest, including a wonderful American History movie offered in the 1,000+ seat theater of The American Adventure Pavilion. Walking the World Showcase and exploring the many different countries is an attraction all in itself. Be sure to book an Advanced Dining Reservation for lunch or dinner to enjoy the culinary delights of Epcot, too! You can do so online, or by calling 407-WDW-DINE, 407-939-3463.

I'd also keep an eye out on the Disney Parks Blog as 4th of July nears. Often times holiday celebration news and events are heard on the Blog before anywhere else!

    Wishing you a wonderful time.
