    Guadalupe from TX Asked

do all the parks have a rope drop welcome and what is the best time to get there to make it to the very front.

Thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Guadalupe! Your magical summer vacation is nearly hEAR and there’s cause to celebrate! I like to get an early start in the mornings with a morning Advanced Dining Reservation or being there for rope drop so I can cram as much fun into my day as possible!

While only Magic Kingdom has a morning performance to welcome guests into the park ten minutes before they  open, all theme parks will have a morning rope drop (being let into the lands) beginning when the parks open. You’ll find that guests are processed through security and touchpoints as early as 30 minutes before the parks open, letting them through the gate and into the common areas like Main Street, U.S.A., Discovery Island and parts of Future World. When the clock strikes (figuratively! There’s no need for Cinderella to worry), Cast Members will “drop the rope” and allow you into the lands.

I like to work backwards to identify what time I should arrive! If the park opens at 9, I like to start passing through security at 8:15, which means I need to take either the earliest bus I can (I check with the concierge the night before to firm up the bus schedule) or opt for a Minnie Van or LYFT. This ensures I can be early in the line for Toy Story Mania, Flight of Passage or Frozen Ever After. Those lines can be quite long if you don’t arrive until 9am or later. If you’re worried about snagging your favorite attractions with short lines, don’t forget to make FastPass+ reservations, which are perfect for making sure you have your top priorities in order! If I can help you with any more vacation tips, please let me know. I’m all EARS! ~ Lindsey P.
