Hi there. We will be in the parks in May with our two year old daughter. I couldn’t find any info on the playhouse Disney live on stage show in DCA. Is that show still running?

    Hiya, Kayla!

I’m so excited for your upcoming vacation to the Disneyland Resort! You are going to love experiencing the magic of Disney through your daughter’s eyes. I’m happy to report that yes, that show is still available in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure Park, and it’s now called Disney Junior Dance Party! This high-energy show features Disney Junior favorites such as Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Timon. Other friends from The Lion Guard and Mickey and the Roadster Racers will also stop by to dance and sing along to familiar tunes. Disney Junior Dance Party! runs for about 18 minutes, and is usually offered in the morning and afternoon. I recommend downloading the Disneyland app prior to your visit to help you discover a show time that works for you. You can also check the Entertainment Schedule for show times as your vacation gets closer (about six weeks out).

I also recommend getting acquainted with the Baby Care Centers, offered at both parks. They offer a nice, quiet spot to feed, change, or simply take a break. If you happen to be potty training, the Centers also include tiny toilets. Be sure to ask for a complimentary sticker on your way out to reward your little one for a job well done!

Another helpful tool when taking on the parks with a toddler is this preschool planning guide.

Please let me know of any other questions… I’m all EARs!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
