When parking at a resort , is the fee waived for those with handicap parking permits ?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debbie!

I’m so happy to hear you’re planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I’m guessing your question means that you’re planning to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. There are so many fantastic benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, including the ability to make FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance and extra theme park hours with Extra Magic Hours - but my very favorite is that you get to stay right in the middle of the magic for your whole visit, with Disney details at every turn and friendly, helpful service anytime you need it.

Debbie, it’s my pleasure to confirm that, with a valid disability parking permit, parking is complimentary at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, including valet parking. This applies whether you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or  visiting for a dining reservation. Simply show the Security Cast Member your permit as you enter the parking lot at the resort; they will direct you to the designated parking area or valet stand (if available). If you’re staying at a Disney resort hotel, I do recommend checking in at the front desk (or giving them a call) to let them know you’re parking with a disability permit, just to ensure you don’t see a charge on your room folio at check-out.

Disney does a great job of taking care of Guests with disabilities. I visited three times last year with a broken foot, and visit frequently with my dad, who uses a cane, and we've been taken care of with great courtesy and hospitality. Please take a look at Walt Disney World’s Services for Guests with Disabilities to get a better idea of accommodations that may be available so you can focus on having a magical time with your family!

As you count down the days to your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I hope you have so much fun making plans and dreaming about your Disney days. Please come back and see us if you have any further questions, and be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog so you can stay up-to-date with the latest news. Have the best time, Debbie!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
