We will be park-hopping from the MK to DHS. Would it be any faster to take the monorail to Epcot and then a boat to DHS rather than taking a Disney bus? We need to be at a dining reservation by 1:20 and want to stay at MK until noon if possible.

    Hi Karen!

Great question!  Honestly, I think you would be better off doing the bus.  Here is my way reasoning:

By bus:  You would take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), and there you will take a bus directly to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

By ferry:  You would have to take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the TTC, and then switch to the Epcot monorail and take it to Epcot.  Next, you would have to enter Epcot at the front gate and walk all the way to the back of the park and exit at the International Gateway.  Finally, you would walk a short distance to the ferry and take the ferry to Hollywood Studios.  But, the ferry will make stops at other places (Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin).  This would be a lengthy and pretty tiring process!

The buses would be the best option!  I would leave about an hour and a half of travel time to be safe.  That should keep you at the Magic Kingdom until almost noon.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
