We're going to be at the park for my son's birthday. Is there a way to let them know? Are there any special privileges for the little ones on their birthday?

    Hello Julia!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Happy birthday to your son! You have chosen the most magical place on earth to celebrate his special date, and you are going to make memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. There aren’t special privileges, but here are a few tips to add some more pixie dust to his day:

To let everyone know that it’s your child’s birthday, request a celebratory birthday button upon arriving at any of the four theme parks. This way Cast Members and other Guests will also be able to join you in celebrating your child.

In addition, make sure to have this birthday noted on your dining reservations. If you haven’t made dining reservations, then I strongly suggest that you do so. There is nothing like having a birthday meal at a character dining location like Chef Mickey’s and The Crystal Palace. Did you know you can even order a birthday cake? To make dining reservations go online, call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463, or use the My Disney Experience mobile app.

I hope this helps you while planning and that your son has an amazing birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort.

    Best magical wishes,
