Park pass confused. We are going to be staying at one of the Disney Resorts and if we go to the Magic Kingdom in the morning, go back to the hotel for the afternoon, and return to Magic Kingdom in the evening, do we need a park hopper pass or base only?

It can be confusing when you first look at the Magic Your Way ticket options for the Walt Disney World Resort.

If you plan on touring one park per day, you'll only need a base ticket. Exiting and returning to the same park in a single day counts as 1 park admission and does not require a park hopper.

    Example:
Visit the Magic Kingdom in the morning, exit the park to return to your hotel and re-visit the Magic Kingdom later that day.

If you want to tour more than one park in a single day, you'll need a base ticket with the park hopper option.

    Example:
Visit the Magic Kingdom in the morning, exit the park to return to your hotel and hop to Epcot in the evening for dinner and Illuminations.
