We have a park hopper and are trying to plan our day at the parks. Which parks are within walking distance of each other? For those that need transportation, what is the fastest method between parks?

    Hi Robert,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can imagine the excitement in your house as you plan your vacation!

At the Walt Disney World Resort, I would not advise trying to walk between resorts. We always use Disney Resort Transportation to travel between parks. I recommend that you download the My Disney Experience Mobile App so that you can see the fastest transit options and times between locations. When I just checked the app, the app indicated that, via monorail, it would take 37 minutes to get from Magic Kingdom to Epcot.

We also have gone to a park in the morning, headed back to our resort hotel early afternoon and then returned to another park in the evening for dinner and a few rides. This option has worked well for us because it gives us a chance to take a break at the resort pool in the afternoon!

As you map out your plans, remember that you must make your first three Fast Pass+ selections at one park. So, if you make them for the morning, you will have to use those Fast Pass+ selections or the time windows must expire before you can make Fast Pass+ selections at the next park when using Park Hopper.

Robert, I do have just one word of caution. The weather can affect transportation options. On our last visit, it was lighting as we were trying to get from Magic Kingdom to Epcot. The resort monorail was not operating and the line for the boat to the Transportation and Ticket Center was LONG. We took the bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center, then got out and took a taxi. The weather did improve and we had a fabulous time at Epcot!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
