    Alicia from TX Asked

What are the park crowd levels at the Walt Disney World Parks during my visit Jan 7-13, 2018?

Hello Alicia! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It appears that we will be frequenting Walt Disney World Resort at the same time as my family will be participating in the 2018 Walt Disney World Marathon which coincides with the first weekend of your vacation.

The Walt Disney World Marathon attracts many visitors and increases the attendance in the Theme Parks. After the Marathon crowds leave following the weekend, the crowd size the week of your vacation is historically average or slightly lower than average as children return to schools after the Holiday break. It is a vast improvement from two weeks previous which usually see the some of the heaviest crowds of the year.

Your week vacation at Walt Disney World Resort should be manageable as far as timing is concerned. You will still have congestion during Peak Hours (12pm-3pm) and popular attractions having typical waits in standby queues. Be sure to still plan FastPass+ Selections for must-do attractions and take advantage of early mornings and later evenings.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, be sure to check the scheduled Park Hours for Extra Magic Hours to get an excellent start or have a Magical finish to your Disney day.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
