Does the park close early on Not So Scary Halloween Party nights? A friend says yes, and that you can go on the rides, etc. with much smaller crowd. Trying to decide how worthwhile this is with 5yr old and a 6 1/2 yr old who may be pretty tired? Thanks!

The Magic Kingdom does close early on the nights of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, at 7:00.    In addition to the much shorter wait times for some of Disney's most popular attractions partygoers also enjoy the exclusive Halloween parade and fireworks display.  There are trick-or-treating stations scattered around the park and plenty of other festive activities to occupy your time, not to mention make the cost of the Halloween Party ticket more than worthwhile.

One piece of advice with regard to those tired kiddos.  If you decide to go, you might consider spending a restful morning lounging by the pool.  The parties continue until midnight and it can be a long night for little ones.  Everyone will have more fun if they are well rested.

My kids range in age from 2 to 14 and I can tell you that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of our must-dos every trip.  I would definitely try to attend one if you can squeeze it into your itinerary!
