What park is best to visit on a really cold day with a 4 year old?

    Hi Mark,

I'm wondering if you asked this question because, as we speak, central Florida, and most of the country is in the midst of an unusually cold weather pattern.  The high in Orlando today is expected to be in the mid 50s, with lows in the 30s.  Crazy!

That being said, I think you can enjoy any park with a child, provided you (and the child) are dressed appropriately.  Disney Mom Margaret is at Disney with her family right now, and they are having a wonderful time while traversing the parks with lots of easily removable layers, including hats and gloves for the mornings and evenings.  If you bring along (or rent) a stroller for your child, you can also wrap a blanket around them for extra warmth.  I actually think it's probably easier to keep a young child warm during a weather pattern that is cold and sunny, rather than trying to keep them dry in the middle of some of the typical summer storms that are common in Florida.

Epcot has many attractions whose lines and rides are indoors, so if you are looking to minimizing waiting outside, this makes a good choice.  Journey into Imagination, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Gran Fiesta Tour (Mexico ride that stars Donald and two of his pals), several attractions at Innoventions and Turtle Talk with Crush are all generally very popular with young children.

    Have a wonderful trip!
