It's my parents' 20th wedding anniversary when we're in Disney in July and we wanted to book a surprise afternoon tea for them- is there a way to do this without them seeing it in the plans?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katie! We're thrilled you stopped by to bring us your question.

What a great idea to surprise your parents on their 20th wedding anniversary! A special reservation at a magical Disney restaurant is such a great idea to make them feel special and loved. I bet they are going to be happily surprised!

Katie, if you are linked up on your My Disney Experience account, which I highly recommend, the best way to book this without spoiling the surprise is to book the reservation in your account without updating the guests that will be enjoying the reservation. The reservation will appear in your account, but they won't be able to see it. Once the surprise is revealed, you can log in and modify the guests in your reservation, so the restaurant is ready to receive the guests of honor. I would also recommend calling Disney's Dining Reservation line at (407) 939-1947 and have a Cast Member notate the account with the celebration details. That way they can make sure the happy couple feels special when they are enjoying their afternoon tea.

Want to add an extra special touch?  Ordering a special custom cake that can be delivered to the restaurant could be that sweet detail to make make this celebration even more magical! And don't forget to get the complimentary celebration buttons for the couple and family. These buttons alert Cast Members everywhere you go that you are celebrating! You never know what magical pixie dust will find you.

I hope you have a magical visit celebrating with your family! Please come back and visit us again if you have any additional questions or for any planning tips and advice.

    See ya real soon,
