My parents, two sons (5 and 7), husband and I are visiting WDW Dec 16-20. We're staying at the Port Olreans hotel. It looks like our only public transportation option is the bus (not monorail or boat). Are we better off driving to and from the parks?

Hi, Blythe! Yes, a bus is the only Disney transportation offered from your Resort. My family and I often drive in from Tennessee.  Whenever we have our own vehicle that is what we use.  Disney does an amazing job of moving all of the Guests around in a timely manner, but I like being in control. You don't have to wait for transport from your Resort, and at the end of a long day, the wait for a tram to the parking lots is often considerably less than the wait for Disney transportation.  Parking is free since you are staying on-site, so definitely take your own vehicle! Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
