Can our parents take our sons to dinner on the dining plan while we eat elsewhere on the same plan in another park? The boys are on our reservations, and my parents have their own. We'd like to have a few nice dinners alone to celebrate our anniversary.

Hi Jennifer, Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!

Absolutely, your plan will work! When you check in, everyone in your Party will be given their own "Key to the World Card". This will have your room key, Park passes and Dining Plan credits on it. You'll want to hold on to your sons, so they don't get lost. On the nights that you are celebrating your Anniversary with your husband, simply give the boys Cards to your parents. When they are at dinner, the Server will ask if everyone is on the Dining Plan. Your parents will just need to clarify that while they are all on the Dining Plan, their grandsons are on a different card/room/reservation. The Server will know how to separate and bill accordingly. Have your parents verify when they are signing that the correct amount of credits have been deducted from each Card.

Meanwhile, as your parents are enjoying bonding time with their grandsons, you and your husband can celebrate with a romantic, peaceful meal elsewhere (using your own Key Cards).

We have done similar things before, and have even split a bill with a party of 18 between 3 different payment methods (including credit and Key Cards)...with no problems at all!

Happy Anniversary to you and have a Magical vacation!
