My parents need to rent scooters for our trip to Disney World in late November, I've heard that renting scooters off property is a good idea because they can keep the scooter for the entire time. My question is: What off-property company is reputable?

    Hi Lance,

Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) can be rented at many places in Orlando.  Julie & Mike Neal, authors of The Complete Walt Disney World, suggest Apria Heath Care (apria.com), Care Medical Equipment (caremedicalequipment.com), Turner Drugs (turnerdrug.com), and Walker Mobility (walkermobility.com).

You can also read some hints about using ECVs at www.allearsnet.com; just do a search for Wheelchair/Scooter/Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV) FAQ.

My mother is in a wheelchair, and I'm always so impressed with the care given to her by cast members, especially with assisting her with Disney transportation.  I hope your parents have the same experience.  Have a magical trip!
