My parents, my fiance and I are trying to plan a trip for Disney at the end of October and we just can't seem to decide which dining plan to use! They both seem like a deal but i hate "wasting" meals - Have you found the DDP to be too much?

My husband and I did one of the Disney meal plans many years ago and it was very similar to the Deluxe Dining Plan.  We thoroughly enjoyed it, but were completely sick of steak by the end of the week.

You need to first evaluate how you like to dine.  I personally prefer sit down restaurants to counter service.  On the regular meal plan we often waste our counter service meals and pay for extra table service meals out of pocket.  If you think you'd be in the same situation, the deluxe plan may be right for you.

It is also important to remember that the deluxe meal plan includes appetizers and the regular one doesn't.  If you like to start off a meal with a nice salad, bowl of soup, or a speciality appetizer, than again the deluxe plan may be the way to go.

I think you will be surprised how fast you will be able to go through the 3 table credits a day if you make reservations at the signature dining restaurants.  All of the signature dining restaurants are going to require 2 credits per meal, but I have found that they usually worth it.

I think you will benefit from either plan, but if your prefer better quality meals then go with the deluxe plan.

    Enjoy
