Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Laura!
My kids have a wide age gap, so Disney’s Rider Switch service is one we use frequently. It’s a great service that allows my crew to divide and conquer so we can all enjoy the magic we choose to!
Laura, to use Rider Switch, simply approach the Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction you are hoping to use it at with your group. They will provide the first group riding with a lanyard that they will exchange for a paper FastPass+ before boarding the attraction. This paper FastPass+ is good for up to three guests to enjoy the attraction at a later time during your visit.
You can combine Rider Switch and a ore-booked
FastPass+ to save even more park touring time so you can enjoy more of the magic. By doing so, both parties will be able to enjoy the attraction using the FastPass+ line. Without a pre-booked FP+, the first group will go through the stand-by queue for the attraction.
To find out more about
Rider Switch, you can visit the website by selecting the underlined link. When I’m planning for upcoming visits, I spend some time browsing the
attractions online so I can get an idea of which attractions I think my kids will enjoy, check out height restrictions, and any other information to help me decide and create a wish list that works for my family.
I hope this helps answer your question! For any additional questions, planning tips, or advice, please stop by and see us. It’s our pleasure to assist you as you plan an unforgettable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
See ya real soon,
