Is the parade at MNSSHP scary? I saw some pictures and it looks like it could be. I have one child that scares kind of easily. I already have my tickets because it says "not so scary" in the name so I thought we were ok.

I've seen the parade during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party many times and I wouldn't classify it as scary, though I can see how an easily frightened child might want to cover his or her eyes during parts of the parade.  Specifically, I'm thinking of the section of the parade that features the grave diggers and some very ghostly inhabitants of the Haunted Mansion.  The grave diggers actually scrape their shovels on the ground and it results in a very loud grating noise and some sparks.  As you would expect, the villains also make an appearance in the parade and the floats that flank them are very villain-esque.  The music that runs through the duration of the parade is very upbeat and has a catchy (I might even classify it as funky but my daughter would be embarrassed by my use of the word) tune that will almost certainly be stuck in your head for days afterwards.

I have a daughter who is very scared of the dark and who has believed for many years that an invisible skeleton lives in her closet.  She doesn't like to be left alone in any room of our house.  Yet, this same child has never been frightened of the parade during the Halloween Party.  Of course, you know your child better than anyone so I would suggest watching the parade on You Tube and making a decision that will be wise for your family.  Hope that helps!
