Hi Panel, We will be taking my very energetic three year old for the first time to Disneyland this spring. Any tips for keeping the little ones entertained while waiting in long line ups?

Hi there, Courtney! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I often ask myself the same question every time we are planning to take my young daughter to the Disneyland Resort! Here are a few of my best tips:

    • Play games on your phone or mobile device. We particularly like the Heads Up! app. This game has one player place the mobile device on their forehead that displays a clue. The other players try to get the first player to guess the clue without saying any words in the clue itself. While your little one might not be able to read, they can try to be the one who guesses the clues. There is even a Disney Parks deck available for the app that my daughter loves!
    • Have lots of snacks on hand. I usually keep our bag full of apple slices, suckers, granola bars, and many other snacks to keep our child satisfied throughout the day. Some popcorn, cotton candy, or a churro should also keep them occupied for a bit while waiting in line.
    • Go early and make efficient use of the FASTPASS system. We find that heading to the parks right at rope drop means we can ride many attractions with minimal waits. If your little one is tall enough to go on attractions with height restrictions, get FASTPASS tickets for those attractions as soon as you are able.

Your 3-year-old is going to have a blast at the Disneyland Resort! Please stop by again if you have any more questions.
