Hi Moms panel My daughters 10th birthday celebration is planned from November 14th to 20th. As life is always full of surprises my daughter just fractured her heel twirling and can not walk (crutches or wheel chair). Should we still go?

    Hi Elissa!

Kids...they always keep us on our toes, don't they?!  I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's injury, but I think I would go ahead with the vacation.  You can always rent a wheelchair at Walt Disney World and use that to get her around.  I would recommend that over crutches.  She can use the crutches as needed to go those short distances.

It might require a bit more planning than going on foot, but I think that your vacation would give your daughter a fun distraction from her injury.  You can check out this page on Guests with Mobility Issues for more information on touring the parks in a wheelchair.

Please wish her a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY from all us Moms!

    Have a magical vacation!
