Hello panel- Is it typically beneficial to bring some cash? What kind of tipping instances might I encounter? Staying at All Star Music, on the deluxe dining plan, and using the DME and other Disney transportation. Thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tara! Thank you for bringing us your questions We are delighted to be able to participate in your vacation planning process!

It is always good to have a few bills for tipping. The first person I normally have a tip ready for is the Disney's Magical Express driver who will help you put your luggage inside the motor coach and then will pull those suitcases off once you arrive at your resort. The Cast Member from Bell Services assisting you with your luggage is usually the second person to receive a tip.

I also leave a tip every night for the people in the Mousekeeping Department. Also, if Bell Services brings a package to my room, I also give those people some recognition for their efforts. If you are eating at a table service restaurant, keep in mind that gratuities are not normally included and that tipping is expected.

As a rule of thumb, if you receive exceptional service, offer a tip. There might be instances in which the Cast Member might have to say "no, thank you" as they are not allowed to receive a tip (such as tour guides) but it'd be nice of you to offer.

I hope this helps, Tara! Please come back with more and more questions, we love to help you!

    See ya real soon,
    Desiree

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
