Hi panel..Dream in 2012...luggage ? taking ME from airport to Port, staying night before cruise in the Hyatt, and from Port to Resort, what do we do with our luggage? Do we carry it on ME from the airport to the port and vice versa?

    Hi, Tracey!

Congratulations on your Disney Dream cruise next year!  I'd be happy to help you think through the ground transfer process of you and your luggage.

I'm going to assume a few things and just write me back if I have your details wrong. If you are staying at the Hyatt Regency at the Orlando International Airport (MCO), your logistics are easy.  You will simply claim your luggage and proceed upstairs to check in.  If you have booked ground transportation for you and your traveling party through Disney Cruise Line (DCL), you will want to check in at the Disney Magical Express (DME) Welcome Center located on Side B, Level 1 around 9-9:30 a.m. in order to hop on the first motorcoach to Port Canaveral.  DME will handle your luggage, and the next time you'll see it will be in your stateroom on the ship.

On Debarkation Day of your cruise, you will claim your luggage at the port terminal and proceed through US Customs. You'll then take your luggage to the waiting DME motorcoach, and you won't see your luggage again until it arrives in your Walt Disney World (WDW) resort room a few hours after you've checked in. Therefore, packing a day bag becomes very important!

I hope this gives you an idea of what to expect, and like I said before, let me know if your details are different than what I assumed.  Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
