Hello Panel, another ?. My 7yr old daughter is 50" tall almost 51", so even though tall enough for big water rides, she would probably like to play in the kiddie section of the water park. Will she be allowed to or will we be told she is too tal

    Hi Kerri!

Walt Disney World uses height as the only requirement for experiences the attractions at the theme parks and water parks.

I suggest that you visit the Walt Disney World Parks page and then click on the water park in which you are visiting  (Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon) to check out the specific height requirements for the attractions. The Tike's Peak kiddie area at Blizzard Beach has a height requirement of 48-inches or shorter. The reason for this height requirement is for the safety of all of the children participating. Since your daughter is a good bit taller than the height requirement, three inches, then she will not be allowed to particulate in this attraction. I know it's a bummer and I can relate because my kids are extremely tall for their age. It works out if they want to ride an attraction, for example my daughter could ride Soarin' at age three! But, when they want to experience something that is age appropriate and they are too tall, that can be tough. I completely understand.

As an alternative, look for attractions without a height requirement that are appropriate for all ages, such as Meltaway Bay, which is a relaxing wave pool.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
