    Amy Asked

This panel has been wonderful in my planning our childrens first trip to Disney. Thank you so much!! My girls are ages 3 and 4. My question was what specific attractions might be scary to them rather than enjoyable (ex. very loud rides). Thanks!

Hi Amy - It's really difficult to answer your question because all kids are different.  First, I'd recommend that you pick up a copy of the Passporter guide.  It has some great info about each attraction, including if it's loud, dark, or otherwise scary.

I would like to point out three attractions that I would have thought were okay but really frightened my three year old daughter.  First, Snow White's Scary Adventure (at the Magic Kingdom) really is scary.  I thought it would be okay because Snow White is my daughter's favorite princess but she was terrified.

Second, the Muppet Vision 3D movie (at Hollywood Studios) also scared my daughter.  There are fireworks at the end that completely upset her, and we had to leave.

Finally, the Voyage of the Little Mermaid (at Hollywood Studios) features Ursula the witch and my daughter was really scared.

Again, every child is different, and there were some three year olds at all of those rides who were fine.  So, think about your own children's reaction when you decide.

    Have a great vacation!
