Hello moms panel! Only 3 weeks untill we leave and was wondering what to expect for crowds levels and if I should plan on being at the parks right at opening.

    Hi Amanda,

If you will be at Walt Disney World in three weeks that will put your traveling party there around January 22nd.  That 's great because you will have missed the crowds from the busy Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend.  Although we can never predict this with certainty, I would imagine that park attendance levels will be quite reasonable while you are there.  Nonetheless, if you can manage to get to the parks right at opening you'll find that it is an excellent time to experience many of the popular attractions with the lowest wait times all day.  Later in the day, you run the risk of missing out on getting fast passes for the most sought after attractions.  Plus, you don't want to miss the really adorable opening of the park ceremony at the Magic Kingdom.  You have to see that at least once!

I hope you and your family have a magical vacation.
