Hello Panel! We'll be at WDW from Dec 14 through Dec 23rd. What are your thoughts on booking a candlelight processional dinner? We're leaning towards it, but just want to be sure, since we'll be spending 2 dining credits. Thanks! I LOVE this panel :)

    Hi Kerstin!

Thanks for the compliment on the Moms Panel; also of us enjoy helping guests plan a magical vacation!  The Candlelight Processional at Epcot is fabulous!  It's definitely one of my "must dos" for the whole holiday period, not just something that has to be done on a trip to Walt Disney World.  I try to attend it every year.

That said, it's also very hard to get into.  If you want to try the standby line, you should get in line for the first show and you should be prepared to wait a couple of hours... and you still might not get into that show.  Anybody in the standby line who don't get into a show simply become the people waiting for the next show!  As you can imagine, on a very busy night, this can mean standing around for a very long time!

However, the beginning of your trip is a relatively quiet time at Epcot, so if you go in the beginning of the trip, then I think you could try the standby line.  If you wait to go near the end, then you should definitely go with the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package.  It just makes the whole evening more relaxing and fun!

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!  By the way, if you do get in, don't sit too close!  I've made that mistake a couple of times.  The best view is in the middle and if that's not available, I recommend sitting more towards the back than the front!
