Hello Mom's Panel! We're visiting WDW in just over a week and we're interested in the Eat to the Beat Concerts at Epcot. How exactly do these work? Do you need to go early to get seating? Are they crowded? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks very much!

Hi, Cathy!  The Eat to the Beat Concert series in an annual event that takes place during the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival each year.  The concerts are held at the America Gardens Theatre in the World Showcase part of the park, and they take place at 5:15; 6:30 and 7:45 each evening that they are held.

The concerts are included in the price of your theme park admission, and you just have to go to the theatre to see the show you want to see.  I will tell you that some popular concerts start forming lines up to an hour prior to show start time, so if you are going to see someone who might be considered a popular performer, you might want to head over there well in advance of the show time you want to attend.  I know one super fan of the Monkees stood more than an hour to see Davy Jones one year.  Okay, that was me, but I wasn't the only one in the line!

If you don't have a dinner reservation for that evening, I suggest grabbing a bite to eat from the counter at the Liberty Inn, directly across from the theatre.  Take your meal to one of the tables outside, and you can watch the line form at the theatre and know if you should eat quicker or if you can linger over your meal.  Plan to be at the Liberty Inn about an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes prior to the concert.

    Have a great time!
