Hello Panel!! Thank you for all the help. I'm curious what rides, etc are open during MVMCP. I'm planning on bringing my family for the first time this December! Super excited, just wondering what to expect. I'm guessing FP+ won't be available. Thx!

Hello, Melanie! You've got a great question. While full details for this year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party have not been released yet, historically, most of the rides are open throughout the event, including popular meet and greets like Anna and Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall. I went to last year's event, and also have tickets for this year's event. It is my absolute favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World. You are correct that the FastPass+ service will not be available during the event, but since a limited amount of event tickets are sold, there is really no need for the FastPass+ service. Last year most attractions never went above a 20 minute wait during the event. I was able to walk on to Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain and many other popular attractions.

There are also many character meet and greets throughout the park, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and a special Holiday Wishes. I think you will love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. There is just nothing like walking down a snowy Main Street U.S.A looking at the Castle Dream Lights with a cup of hot cocoa in hand.

If you want to look at details, I know of several reviews and unofficial 'guides' on the web that have really nice pictures that walk you through the night. and have some thorough reports detailing their personal experiences if you'd like to read more about the event.

If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. Have a magical holiday vacation!
