Hello Mom's Panel! We are taking my 4.5 & 9mo boys to DW in March. How would you suggest telling my older son that the characters don't talk?

    Hi Heidi,

Just a few more weeks to your magical vacation. How exciting!

Real life characters like the princesses and princes do speak and interact with guests. The animated characters tend to be shy and remain quiet, however they will surely show their affection with hugs, high fives and autographs. Make sure you get an autograph book, as it’s a wonderful keepsake.

There are a few characters that are a little less shy and do in fact interact with guests. For some fun and laughs, you don’t want to miss Monsters, Inc. Laughing Floor. For a righteous real-time Q-and-A session under the sea, you should visit Turtle Talk With Crush. Star Wars fans must go to Star Wars Launch Bay for interactive encounters with favorite heroes and villains. No need to learn to speak wookie; Chewbacca understands humans.

Many of the character encounters offer FastPass+, and this will help with avoiding lines at times. Keep track of wait times and modify your FastPass+ reservations, or even book a character meal, with the My Disney Experience mobile app.

There are lots of opportunities to meet the big cheese himself. But if there’s one thing you must do before you leave Magic Kingdom Park, is to Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater. Magic truly happens here.

Wishing you a magical time, remember that if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to come back.

    Ricardo.
