Hello Moms Panel! what a super help you are in our planning stage! Our family of 3 plus the inlaws are visiting WDW from 12/28 to 1/2/13, I know the crowds can be massive, but thats the only chance we get to go...what is your advice to work around it? thx!

    Hi Miriam!

We aim to please all our fellow Mouseketeers out there! :-)

Yes, Christmastime (and after) is SUPER DUPER BUSY at Disney. Here are some tips I can offer:

If staying at a Disney resort, take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours, particularly the early open hours. Getting in a park an hour early and making a "bee-line" to all your must-do attractions can make a big difference before the park opens to the general public.

Get as many Fast Passes, and use them early and often. As the day goes on, crowd levels only get larger (sometimes reaching park capacity). Any opportunity you can get in shorter lines is time best served.

If you and family love to watch the parades (i.e. coming up Main Street at Magic Kingdom), find a good spot at least 40 minutes before the show starts and stay there. You'll be surprised how quickly those good viewing spots get taken, especially during this time.

Other than that, wear comfortable shoes, take deep breaths, and have patience. It can be fun, but also, a little chaotic. But most guests are in that holiday spirit, so that should hopefully lessen the stress a little :-)

Hope you and family have many timeless memories!
