Hi panel! Staying at the Dolphin 8/22-29/14. I'm confused re what we are or not eligible for in terms of benefits. specifically can we participate in a dining plan. We will have annual passes by then-can we order a dining plan through that? Thanks!

    Hi Lisa,

The Swan and Dolphin hotels have a terrific location between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios and they do get to participate in many of the benefits of Disney resort guests; however, since the Swan & Dolphin are not owned by Disney there are some key benefits they're missing.

    The main differences are:

    • S&D guests may not use Disney's Magical Express free bus service from Orlando International to the hotel
    • S&D guests are not eligible to participate in any of the Disney Dining Plans
    • S&D guests cannot currently participate in early FastPass+ reservations. They must make same-day FP+ reservations like off-site guests.

As a workaround on the Dining Plan issue, you may want to consider the purchase of a Tables in Wonderland card, which you are eligible for because you are an annual pass holder. While there is an initial fee, TiW owners save 20% on food AND BEVERAGE (including alcohol) at most WDW table service restaurants and lounges, and even a few counter service restaurants as well. Depending on the size of your party and the length of your visit, you may be a able to reap substantial savings.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
