Hi Moms Panel! Planning our 1st WDW trip, will be staying for 10 days the first week in June, just wondering what can I expect with the weather and crowd level at that time of the year? Thanks Mom Panel!

    Hi Khadijah!

Well first, congrats on preparing for that 1st trip to the Magical World of Disney! Hopefully this will be the 1st of many trips to Disney and Orlando...

June is definitely what I call "Primetime" at Disney World. It is a peak season month, and generally attracts much higher crowds than, say, the winter season. Carry lots of bottled water, and, just as important, a little patience :-)

Pacing yourself is the key. At the parks, get as many Fast Passes as you can, to curb the attraction wait times. Getting an early start at the parks is always better, as crowd levels only grow as the day progresses. If you're staying on property, definitely take advantage of any early Magic Hours for early park entries. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Although it's been some time since it's happened on one of my visits, some days can reach capacity at the parks, particularly weekend's when crowds are larger. But one thing that's terrific is the fantastic attitudes of the staff other guests. Disney brings out the biggest smiles in everyone, which helps when it's hot and sometimes crowded..

In terms of weather, the average low is 71 and the average hi is about 91 or 92 degrees in the month of June. This month also brings short precipitation cycles so you may need an extra rain poncho during your trip.

Most importantly, have the time of your life! And hope the trip brings many timeless memories to you and family...
