Hi Panel, We are planning our first trip to WDW in Dec. and WOW there is alot to learn! We have ADR for 10:35 @ 1900 Park Fare @ GF. Will we be able to view gingerbread houses before we eat and how much time should we allow for viewing? Thanks Kelly

    Hi Kelly!

It sounds like you are having fun learning all about Walt Disney World for your trip! In fact, you've even uncovered a "hidden gem" of the holiday celebration: the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House!

The large gingerbread house is home to sales of gingerbread shingles (dipped in chocolate!!) and gingerbread house sales. Its so large, that you'll actually purchase treats at its window from Cast Members inside it! Its really that big!

We always plan at least 15 to 20 minutes of extra time at the Grand Floridian to check out the house. You'll definitely want a photograph or two in front of the house. Plus, some extra time to find the Hidden Mickey's which are located around and on the house itself!

Last year, the operating hours for sales of gingerbread treats were from 10 am to 10 pm daily. While this year's hours have not yet been announced, I would expect them to be similar. If you're not interested in purchasing a cookie or treat, you can view the house whenever works for you.

Hope you have a great trip!
