Hi Mom's Panel. Love your site and appreciate the tips I get from your panel. My question is this: I have a reservation for Cape May's Cafe at the BCR and want to know the best way to get there (staying at AK Lodge.) Will be using WDW transportation. TY.

    Hi Carol:

Walt Disney World buses do not provide Resort-to-Resort direct transportation, so some effort will need to be made to get to where you need to go. To be frank, the last time my family stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort and had reservations at Cape May Café (breakfast), we just took a taxi to make it easier for us.

However, there are ways to get to the Beach Club Resort relying on Walt Disney World complimentary transportation. One option is to take a bus to a Park and transfer at the Park to a Resort bus going to Beach Club. Another option is to take a bus to Hollywood Studios and take a very long but pleasant stroll down a walkway that will take you to the Boardwalk-area Resorts (of which the Beach Club is one). Another idea, depending on the time of your reservation, if Epcot is open and you have a Park Hopper ticket (or plan to visit Epcot that day on your Magic Your Way base ticket), you can take a bus to Epcot, enter the Park, walk through Future World and World Showcase to the International Gateway entrance/exit, which will leave you just about right at the Beach Club Resort. If you choose this option, and it's before 11:00am (when World Showcase opens), I would be prepared to provide any Cast Members with your name, reason for needing to exit through International Gateway prior to 11, and your reservation number.

In sum, consider taking a taxi. Some should be waiting outside of your Resort (or your Resort's concierge can arrange for one).

    Enjoy your vacation.
