Hi moms panel! I am hoping to be planning a disneymoon for May 2016. something. I want to stay at Caribbean beach. If I'm a general d23 member, do I get any discounts or do I have to be a gold member to get any discounts?

Hello Emily! A honeymoon at Walt Disney World sounds absolutely magical. If I ever get married, I will most definitely want my honeymoon experience to be there. If you have any specific questions about having a honeymoon at Disney, I bet you my fellow Moms Panelist Lauren H. would love to help. I believe she also honeymooned at Walt Disney World.

I am also a general D23 member and I do believe that we are offered discounts. Gold and Silver members will receive more discounts than general members, of course, because they pay membership fees. You can see the current discounts on offer by going to the D23 website and locating the 'Discount' tab on the left hand side of the screen. After you scroll down, you will see a small icon of Scrooge McDuck a.k.a 'Uncle Scrooge' on the right side of the screen. The icon says 'All Member Discounts'. Click the icon and you will see a list of all the current discounts and their expiration dates. You will notice that the discounts are separated into two groups; 'All D23 Members', and 'D23 Gold & Silver Members'. As general members you and I would look for discounts available under 'All D23 Members'.

I will also encourage you to check the Walt Disney World vacation planning website on the Special Offers page because sometimes there are really great Resort Hotel discounts.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please stop back in, and don't forget to ask Lauren H. about her Disneymoon!

    Have a magical day.

I am a recent graduate from Ball State University and mother to my 5-year-old son. We love all things Disney and when we aren’t watching Disney films or planning our next vacation, we love to go to touring Disney shows. I also love to cook, listen to music, read books, and paint. With my experience planning vacations and navigating the parks from a single parent’s perspective, I hope to be able to add a little “pixie dust” to your vacation! Learn More About Sarah
