This panel is so helpful for an over-planner like me!! My daughter will be almost 5 when we are at WDW in December. Any suggestions for "must see" things in Downtown Disney? She's more animal-lover than princess (we are staying at the AK lodge).

    Hi there Jessica,

I spotted your question and had a real yearning to mention a few tips for you.  Good choice by the way with the Animal Kingdom Lodge, especially seeing as you are animal lovers!  I am also a huge animal lover as you will see in my Bio (I mention that I would be Beck if I was a fairy because I love working with all animals).  Anyway, your question about Downtown Disney, I can say that "Rainforest Cafe" is one of my daughter's (and my) favorite places to browse because they have some of the most beautiful salt water fish tanks, filled with many colorful species of fish, and we could look at them all day it seems like.  I also assume that you will be visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Park (there is so much wildlife here!) and may I suggest The Living Seas Pavilion over in Epcot, also has beautiful marine life and many fun and interesting facts to learn about them as well.

What I really wanted to suggest to you though, is go to Fort Wilderness Campground, if you get a chance and take your daughter to visit the petting farm (she will even be able to go on a pony ride if she wants!) there are so many fun animals, including goats, pigs, donkey's, etc...(they also have a petting farm at Rafiki's Planet Watch in Animal Kingdom).  I hope this helps you!

    Best Wishes,
