    Hello Tina!

Let me first say you are going to LOVE the Disney Dining plan.  It really does save you money, especially if your family wants to enjoy all of the character dining experiences.

I totally understand having a child who is not a big eater.  My oldest daughter just turned 10, and it was her first experience eating on the adult side of the Dining Plan.  I will tell you that allof  the Disney resort restaurants allowed her to eat from the children's menu if she wanted macaroni and cheese instead of a "fancy meal" (as she would call it) from the adult menu.

If I understand correctly, you have a 12 year old and a five year old joining you on your vacation.  Since you have the Disney Dining Plan, the five year old will also have the child's Disney Dining Plan.  However, if the five year old is not on the Disney Dining Plan, she will not be able to share with another member of your party. When I spoke to a Cast Member about your question, she said that all four people in your party would need to order separate meals.  The great thing is that the children's menu prices are not that expensive.

If you have other questions about your trip, please let me know.  Have a magical vacation!
