how do you pack for the Alaskan Cruise???????

    Ahoy, Kristen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Last summer my family enjoyed an amazing week in Alaska on the Disney Wonder. It was our first non-Caribbean cruise, so I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed when it came time to pack up my family of four. I did find the Alaskan Packing List on the Disney Cruise Line website very helpful. I also checked the weather for Vancouver and the ports of call right up to our departure so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. I think the key is to bring clothes that you can layer with the outer layer being waterproof. We did encounter rain and having waterproof pants, jacket and shoes helped with our enjoyment ashore because we weren't soaking wet. We were able to repeat some of our clothes because we took advantage of the laundry rooms aboard. Our day in Tracy Arm was probably our coldest day, and we all wore our warm coats, gloves and hats. Towards the end of our cruise, we experienced more summer-like temperatures. It's important to pack a variety of clothing so you are prepared for the range of temperatures. On our way back to Vancouver, the temperature was around 80 degrees, so the pool deck looked more like a Caribbean cruise than an Alaskan Cruise. At night, you can plan on five cruise casual nights, one formal night and one semi-formal night. We did have a lot of luggage, but were able to store it under the bed. Two things that we were so glad we packed were binoculars and comfortable shoes!
Good luck with your packing, Kristen! I'm so excited for you to experience Alaska with Disney Cruise Line!
    Have a "Wonder-ful" time!
