    Kristine from CT Asked

Can you make you own Mickey ears hat at the Magic Kingdom or only Disney Springs? Can you put the special magic ears that light up on the hat?

    Hey, Kristine!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You have come to the right spot with this question. Around five yEARS ago, locations at Magic Kingdom Park and Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs) stopped the Create-Your-Own Ear Hat service.

At shops throughout Walt Disney World Resort, you may purchase Ear Hats from many of your favorite Disney/Star Wars/Pixar characters, such as Pinocchio, R2-D2 and Buzz Lightyear. I love the Ear Hats themed after park attractions such as Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. How cool!

The Made with Magic Hats and headbands are a real treat for any nighttime musical entertainment because they "glow with the show." As the musical beats, during shows like Wishes nighttime spectacular, bounce like Tigger, so the Ears flash and glow.

Currently, Ear Hats are priced from $14.99 to $24.99. The basic embroidery is $3.00 while designer fonts are $7.00 (tax not included and all prices subject to change). Some Ear Hats are made of materials that may not be embroidered.

Ear Hats are also available online and on the Shop Disney Parks app.

Kristine, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
