Hi moms, I want to k ow if I can combine a whale watch and a Juneau city tour in one day. I was looking but I can find the 2 options. Its there someone on the adventures department that can help me. Thanks

    Hello Linet -

You've got a great itinerary waiting for you next year on your magical voyage to Alaska! My family and I enjoyed that cruise and we felt that it is definitely different compared to all the other cruises offered around the world. The last frontier is a spectacular feast for all the senses!

Our visit to Juneau came with great weather. We also cruised in July similar to your sail date. We experienced the Best of Juneau port adventure and we had the opportunity of seeing Juneau and it's hallmark site, the Mendenhall Glacier. Included in this tour was a catamaran ride where we marveled at watching sea lions and whales. We were accompanied by a naturalist and it was an educational adventure for our whole family. Each excursion has a likelihood of seeing whales, but not always guaranteed. We surely had great timing, and we were fortunate to watch a whale breach with your own eyes - it was jaw dropping. We saw 2 or 3 other whales, a few sea lions and a few dolphins along the way. Having lunch included in this port adventure worked out, since we really enjoyed the fresh Alaskan grilled salmon at Orca Point Lodge.

Try to book early, since the popular port adventures tend to fill up quickly. I hope this information helps. Have fun planning!
