Hi! I am so overwhelemed between trying to plan meals, what parks when, what rides, etc. This is our first trip with our son and it will be his 7th bday! I want it to be well planned so we are not figuring it out down there. HELP! Thanks!

    Hi Mary!

You've come to the right spot.  The panelists on the Moms Panel are happy to help you!

You will want to decide what theme parks you would like to visit on which days and if you want to dine in any Table Service restaurants on those days. To give you a good idea of which park to visit when, I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com. That's the website for the research team behind the book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World". They are famous in the Disney fan community for their crowd calendar which predicts the crowd level in any theme park on a given day. You will need to pay a small subscription to access all of their information, but I recommend it.

You will also need to decide if you want to dine in a Table Service restaurant. They all require an Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR).  ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE. It's easiest to use the system online to see what's available.  If you want to see the menu of any restaurant, I recommend visiting the independent website AllEars.net. The team at All Ears does a great job keeping their information up to date.  At All Ears, you can see the menus, including prices, for every restaurant within Walt Disney World.

I also recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  The book is perfect for first timers because it has a lot of information, but is not overwhelming.  It's also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will really help you plan a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Hopefully this will get you started.  Write back with more specific questions!
