    Maricela from CA Asked

What outside food is okay to bring into the park. I have 2 kids with autism and was wondering what kind of thinks are okay to bring inside. Drinks and food.

    Hi there, Maricela!

I’m so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I hope you’re getting excited for all the magic that awaits your family at the Happiest Place on Earth!

You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks into the theme parks with the exception of a few items. Glass containers and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in either of the Disneyland Resort theme parks. However, a small cooler with sandwiches, fruit, chips or whatever your kids like to eat is perfectly fine. I always bring along a stash of juice boxes and munchies for my little ones to snack on, too.

The Disneyland Resort offers several services to help Guests with cognitive disabilities (including those on the Autism Spectrum) have a magical experience with their families in the theme parks. For example, the Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed for Guests who are unable to wait in a traditional attraction queue. The DAS allows Guests to receive a return time comparable to the current standby queue wait. If this sounds like something that could help your family, please visit Guest Relations upon arrival at the theme parks. The Cast Members there can also provide information about the other accommodations and services that might be available to you based on the needs of your children.

I hope this helps you plan, Maricela. Please feel free to write back with any other questions you may have as your pixie-dusted planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
