My 1st Orlando visit we stayed on Int drive & used hotels bus service to Epcot times were not ideal as last bus was 10pm which ment we didn’t see MK fireworks.Where would be the Best UBER drop off point at MK to get to entrance/security quickly? Thanks

Hi Caroline and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for sending me your question about transportation to Walt Disney World Resort theme parks!

My family and I have explored lots of hotel options when we visit the happiest place on earth. While Disney Good Neighbor hotels and other off-site hotels have their benefits, I have to agree with you about shuttle service. It’s not always the most convenient.

When it comes to using a ride share service like Uber, you will find that there are drop-off zones at all four theme parks that make it easy for you to find your ride! They are also very close to park entrances, so that makes it easy to make your way into the park, with minimal walking, to start your fun-filled day of adventures!

Caroline, if watching the fireworks is important to you and your group, you should definitely do that! Keep in mind, those ride sharing services may become inundated with requests right as the theme parks are closing, which makes it trickier to request your ride back to your off-site hotel. I suggest waiting a good 30-60 minutes after the fireworks show to request your ride. I know it seems like a while, but you can use that time to browse the shops for souvenirs.

If you’re visiting the Magic Kingdom Park, stay for “The Kiss Goodnight.” This happens in front of Cinderella Castle about 30 minutes after the scheduled theme park closing time and after the Happily Ever After Fireworks Spectacular. “Wish Upon a Star” begins to play and the castle lights up the night sky. It’s the perfect way to end your magical day!

I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue planning your stay! Please feel free to come back to visit with any other questions you might have. After all, helping you plan your magical visit is our favorite thing to do!
