I order our magic bands and on my husband it is saying decline why

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Bonnie! I'm more than happy to help with your situation.

MagicBands were introduced in 2013, and they forever changed the Guest experience at Walt Disney World. The technology is pretty magical, as the bands serve as your theme park ticket, room key, FastPass+ reservation, and credit card. Simply put, MagicBands make all components of your Walt Disney World vacation seamless.

It sounds like you are already familiar with My Disney Experience. When you log into your account, click on 'My MagicBands and Cards.' Under the heading, 'Customize Your MagicBands,' you will see each member of your traveling party, and there will be an optional blue link to 'Decline MagicBand.' Disney started allowing Guests to do this several yEARs ago. My Moms Panel friend, Amy M, often declines hers because she received a limited release Dooney & Bourke MagicBand as a gift, and she prefers to use it over the standard issued ones. When you see this link, don't panic- just proceed to customize your MagicBand with your preferred name and color. If you accidentally select the decline option, you can always click 'Change Selection,' which will be a blue link option. I've heard that Guests with multiple active MagicBands in their account (think 10+) can have issues, so this could also a possibility, although this has not happened to me personally. If all else fails, call (407) 939-4357 for technical assistance.

Good luck with your MagicBands, Bonnie, and stop back to see us again if you have more questions about your upcoming trip!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
