If you order a customized cake and a sit down restaurant and there's leftover can it be sent back to resort boxed? Or share with other guests? We are eating 2 sit down meals Tusker & Cape May. Makes available at either?

Denise, I can't imagine a better place to celebrate a special occasion than the Most Magical Place on Earth! I spoke with a Cast Member from Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park bakery today, and she was happy to provide me with information. These folks love making magic happen for Guests, and can make anything from a simple (but delicious) Mickey Dome Cake to a fantastic custom creation, sure to make your dreams come true! None of the Walt Disney World Resort restaurants can store partially consumed food in their refrigerators, but they will happily box it up for you. They are also unable to send it to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, so if you have leftovers, you'll need to take them with you when you leave the restaurant (it would be great for a midnight snack, however!).

One thing she reminded me about is both Tusker House Restaurant and Cape May Cafe have desserts included with their buffet meals (save room for the bread pudding at Tusker House because it's amazing). Therefore you may want to consider a smaller cake such as the 6" which can feed 4-6 people. These cakes can still be customized with a personalized message and just about any Disney character imaginable. Keep in mind that they'll need at least 72 hours notice and a restaurant reservation confirmation number. Call the Cake Hotline at (407) 827-2253.

If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, another suggestion is to have your custom cake delivered directly to your resort, and then you can enjoy your dessert party in your room! To really up the wow factor, have Disney Floral and Gifts decorate your room for the festivities.

I hope your celebration is truly magical, Denise!

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
