Hello! in order to buy a disney dinning plan do you need to stay at a Disney park hotel?

Welcome back, Giovanna, to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to make sure that you and your family have budgeted all of your meals during your Disney vacation. Currently, only guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World resort can have the option of adding the Dining Plan to their Magic Your Way vacation package. The Magic, Your Way package, includes a resort reservation, theme park tickets, and the optional Disney Dining Plan.

When we stay off property in the Orlando area, we budget each meal carefully and use Disney Gift Cards to cover the expenses of our meals and snacks. If your plans change and you decide to stay at a Disney resort, you can add the Disney Dining Plan at any time.

Giovanna, thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Hopefully, one day in the future having the dining plan no matter where you stay during your Disney vacation will be an option. If you have specific questions about the three options of the dining plan, how to use the dining credits, or which Advanced Dining Reservation you should make, please stop by and visit with us again.

    Happy planning,
    Korliss
