Kids on attraction

Is there the option to do the parent swap with children that are not tall enough to ride the rides? If so how does that work?

Hello Renee! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

On a recent Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I booked FastPass+ Selections for me and the rest of my family to fly high around the world on Soarin' in Epcot. Unfortunately, my son was under the minimum height requirements (40in) for the ride. Fortunately, the Rider Switch Service was available.

With the Rider Switch Service, Guests can still ride attractions that members of their party may be unable or unwilling to ride. Parties split into 2 groups with 1 group staying behind with the Guests not riding while the first party gets in the queue. After the first party has experienced the attraction, the waiting party is granted access to the FastPass+ queue for their turn while the first party waits.

To utilize the Rider Switch Service, speak with the Cast Member at participating attractions and inform them of your intentions. The waiting party will be provided a Rider Switch Pass (used for reentry) and informed where they may wait for the riders. It is essential that you speak with a Cast Member and receive the Rider Switch Pass before entering the queue.

If you have a FastPass+ Selection for the attraction in question, you will still receive a rider switch pass, however, the first party will have initial access to the FastPass+ queue making for an even more efficient experience.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
