If you opt out of Mousekeeping during your stay to receive a Disney gift card instead, do you receive the gift card during your stay or at the end?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lisa! Thank you for stopping by with your question! It's great to hear you are planning on visiting the Walt Disney World Resort

The Service Your Way Program, available at value and moderate hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort, allows you to decline Mousekeeping services during your stay in exchange for a Disney Gift Card, which is usually sent to the email address (associated with the reservation) during the check-in process.

The Cast Member assisting you will usually verify with you before you head over to your room that the gift card has arrived so you can start using it at merchandise locations.

My family loves this optional benefit because of the extra money we get to buy souvenirs or packaged candy to take back home to family and friends. Keep in mind that if you choose to take advantage of this program, you can still call Guest Services or Housekeeping on your Resort room telephone to get trash removed, and/or request toiletries and fresh towels whenever you need them. You will love how convenient it is!

Please note that if you choose to participate in this program, visual inspections of your room may still be conducted.

Lisa, I hope this information has been helpful. I hope to see you again with more questions; we love to help out!

    Sending pixie-dust your way,
    ~Desiree

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
