Hello, in your opinion what is the best week for me to bring my family down to the Food and Wine festival? My son-in-law is in an electric wheelchair and I am concerned about navigating the crowds. We also have a toddler that loves to run around.

Hello Amy, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

The 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is now underway! There is no better time to visit than right now. Actually, I had my first experience with this event this weekend and I can tell you that it is amazing. If you are a foodie, I would suggest getting here as soon as possible to enjoy feasting your way around the world.

I would also recommend coming as early in the event as possible because, the closer we get to the end of the event, the more likely you will see a rise in attendance. When it comes to using an ECV during events here, I can tell you from personal experience that it is quite a bit easier when the crowds are smaller. But, regardless of crowd size, you may just need a little more patience as you make your way around Epcot. Cast Members are always available to assist you in any way possible during your visit. You can refer to the guide for guests with disabilities for other helpful information.

New this year, at the festival, are a few extras
to help the younger set enjoy their time here. There is a playground and on select nights a “Disney Du Jour Dance Party” that will allow your young ones to dance and play with Disney Characters. There is also a Ratatouille inspired scavenger hunt guaranteed to be fun and burn off some energy for your little prince or princess. One thing is for sure, you will have a great time, no matter when you plan to visit. If you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
